Oddness Prevails Signature Tutorial
It more than likely can be done in PS, so if you wanna give it a shot, feel free to, just don't be asking me "how do I do this bit in PS", 'cos I more than likely won't know.
In the tutorial you should learn quite a few new things. Ranging from using effects and resources to get colour onto your signature, to using the pattern material to create a "clipping mask" kind of effect (clipping mask = PhotoShop feature).
